Officially known as the Chief Passamaquoddy statue, this roadside icon has stood watch over Freeport, Maine, for generations — though most folks just call him the Big Freeport Indian or BFI. Loved by locals and travelers alike, he’s a familiar figure to anyone who’s cruised up Route 1 on their way along Maine’s midcoast.

This ornament was created by request from a loyal who already owned most of my midcoast Maine designs. Laser cut from Baltic birch plywood with color printed directly on the wood, it captures the nostalgia and local pride of a true Maine landmark.
